Proctor-Student
While the course can be taken alone as a student, it undesirable for the student to work alone without any interaction. Consequently, this course has been designed for both a student and a proctor.
While the proctor’s role is to supervise, it also includes mentoring, helping, and encouraging the student. The course includes lessons for the student and lessons for the proctor. The proctor’s lessons include examples of what the student’s work should look like and keys for learning assessments.
It is useful but not necessary for the proctor to be knowledgeable about history. If the proctor watches the videos and reads the material, then he/she should be able to assist the student using the materials provided for the proctor.
